A Naturalist’s Guide to the Frogs of Australia

This is an easy-to-use photographic guide to all of Australia’s 247 frog species and subspecies. It contains high quality photographs from Australia’s top nature photographers, including many images from photographers who contribute to the Kape Images Image Library. In addition to images from the authors, Scott Eipper and Peter Rowland, other image contributors include Tie Eipper and Angus McNab.

For each species there are detailed species descriptions, which include identifying features, distribution, habitat and habits. Size, common and scientific names are also listed. The user-friendly introduction gives an overview of frogs as indicators of environmental health, adaptations, breeding and life cycles, habitats, frog calls, frog friendly gardens and glossary

Includes an up-to-date checklist of the frogs of Australia and their current IUCN status

The Frogs of Australia book is published by John Beaufoy Publishing and has been proudly endorsed by Australian Geographic.
